Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) has taken delivery of three new remote‑control super post‑Panamax quay cranes at Terminal D in December 2025.

This increases the terminal’s total to 17 cranes, supporting a 1,700‑metre quay.

The new cranes complete Terminal D’s expansion, allowing simultaneous handling of three mega‑vessels and a feeder vessel.

Coupled with seven remote‑control yard cranes added in October 2025, HPT now offers a fully integrated, high‑efficiency operation.

The investment reflects HPT’s focus on operational excellence and advanced container handling, with remote‑control quay and yard cranes and autonomous electric trucks.

Terminal D, which has reached 3.5 million TEUs capacity, also enhances safety and sustainability. Since starting operations in 2002, HPT has handled 50 million TEU, underlining its steady growth.

In December 2025, HPT surpassed 50 million TEUs of containers handled since its establishment, setting a new benchmark in Thailand’s maritime and logistics sector.
