The cable reel is mainly composed of standard AC motor, hysteresis coupler, reducer, slip ring box, cable reel and cam limit switch.

Working principle:

The motor always rotates in the same direction at the rated speed regardless of whether the coil is being drawn or laid.The torque output by the motor is transferred from the hysteresis coupling to the gear reducer. Drive disc and driven disc are not hard connected. A certain air gap is set between the two discs. By adjusting the air gap, the magnitude of transfer torque of magnetic hysteresis coupling can be changed. When the coil is taken up, the drive disc and the driven disc of the magnetic hysteresis coupling rotate in the same direction as the drive disc, and the motor does positive work. When the coil is released, slip difference (slip difference up to 100%) between the drive disc and the driven disc of the magnetic hysteresis coupling produces cable tension and the motor does negative work.Therefore, the moment transmitted by the hysteresis coupling is flexible and variable.
